SonarBridge — Privacy Policy

SonarBridge ("the app") is a utility that reads depth and water-temperature data from a Wi-Fi sonar and forwards it, as standard NMEA 0183 data, to a navigation app on the same device. This policy explains what data the app handles.

Data the app uses

• Location. The app requests location permission solely to keep running in the background so it can keep sending sonar data to your navigation app while that app is in the foreground. Your location is not stored on our servers and is not shared with us or any third party.
• Purchase & subscription information. If you subscribe or buy the lifetime option, the purchase is processed by Google Play (or the Apple App Store) and by our billing provider, RevenueCat, to unlock features and manage your subscription. This includes a randomly generated, anonymous app-user identifier and your purchase history. It does not include your name, email or payment card details, which are handled by the store.

What we do NOT collect

The app has no user accounts and does not collect your name, email address, contacts, photos, or precise tracking data for advertising. We do not sell any data.

Data retention & deletion

Anonymous purchase data is retained by our billing provider for as long as needed to manage entitlements and for legal/accounting requirements. To request deletion of purchase data associated with your device, contact us at the address below.

Children

SonarBridge is a boating utility intended for a general adult audience and is not directed at children.
